Köpenick shines: Christmas island 2024 invites you to celebrate!

Köpenick, Deutschland - The Castle Island of Köpenick turns from December 13th to 15th, 2024 into a bright Christmas wonderland! Under the motto "Köpenick - The Christmas Island", visitors can expect a festive spectacle full of joy and contemplation. Despite the construction sites around the old town, we do not let the anticipation of the Christmas season spoil! Not only is working here, but also celebrated, sung and laughed - and the in the middle of festive wind sounds and atmospheric Christmas magic!

The Christmas market is opened on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. District Mayor Oliver Igel will cut traditional tunnels together with the captain of Köpenick and his captain's guard. The master baker Schwadtke from the Dresden fine bakery in Friedrichshagen provides the delicious tunnel. After that, guests can expect a varied program with Christmas performances, including a Christmas singing with the FCU Oldies 55 Plus Choir and a Christmas disco with DJ Hummel and Stabilke.

Festive highlights and program

On the following days, the Christmas island will inspire with a colorful mix of music and contemplative moments. The gospel choir Eagle Voices and the renowned Schumann Quartet, accompanied by Heiko Stang, ensure musical highlights. A special highlight is the organ concert in the castle church on Sunday, which perfectly rounds off the festive atmosphere. Organized by the old town of Köpenick e.V. and Laubinger Event GmbH, the Christmas market offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the pre -Christmas atmosphere.
