Esslingen: Euor's Christmas market hit inspires visitors from all over the world!

The Christmas season is in full swing and Baden-Württemberg captivates the visitors with its festive markets. The Middle Ages and Christmas market in Esslingen is currently shining, which according to the British daily newspaper The Times Christmas markets in Europe counts. In a ranking of the newspaper, Esslingen secured 22nd place among 29 markets from all over Europe, with the market in front of a picturesque backdrop of historical half -timbered houses inspiring the audience with stilt runners and fire swallows.

Esslingen: A different kind market

The Esslingen Middle Ages and Christmas market, which takes place from November 26th to December 22nd, offers its visitors an authentic experience with jugglers, archery and delicious medieval dishes. The market stalls are arranged around Rathausplatz and Hafenmarkt and invite you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of past times. The market opens Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8.30 p.m., while it remains open on Fridays and Saturdays until 9:30 p.m.

The Christmas market in Stuttgart, for example, is one of the oldest and largest, with around 280 stands that lead through the old town and emphasize the impressive backdrop of the old castle. The markets in Heidelberg and Ludwigsburg also invite you to stroll and linger with their festive atmosphere and unique offers.
