Tradition newly revitalized: Prenzlau annual calendar 2025 with regional motifs!
The Stadtwerke Prenzlau bring back a piece of tradition with the publication of a new annual calendar. After a break this year, a calendar with impressive motifs from the region will be published for 2025. According to Harald Jahnke, managing director of Stadtwerke, the pictures should primarily have a reference to Prenzlau. Most of the selected photographs come from members of the Prenzlau photo club, which were supported by Stefan Uhlig.
This week a jury made its selection. Sandy Standat, who heads corporate communication, stated that the calendar is expected to be released in November with a planned edition of 800 copies. Interested can acquire the calendar in the customer offices of the Stadtwerke, at the Sonnenkap campsite and in the editorial team of the Uckermark Kurier at Prenzlauer Grabowstrasse 15 a. The proceeds from the sale are traditionally intended for people who volunteer in the Uckermark.
Outlook for 2026
There are already considerations for the 2026 calendar, which is supposed to bear the motto "Water in the city". The Prenzlau citizens are asked to submit suitable motifs. Sandy Stirnat explained that this can include original photographs of bathing spots, fountains, rivers and other water elements, such as the popular hedgehog pork or the pond in the city park. If a person, especially a child, is shown in the pictures, it is imperative that the legal guardians or the people adults depicted will give their consent to publication in writing.
For all creative minds: The deadline for the motifs is July 31, 2025. An additional feature could also offer the next calendar-it is considered to add recipes or similar content to make the calendar even more attractive.
