Templins Mayor regrets withdrawal from Prenzlaus Official colleagues!
In a surprising turn, Templins Mayor Detlef Tabbert (BSW) regretted the impending withdrawal of Prenzlaus Mayor Hendrik Sommer (non -party). "I would have liked it to continue," said Tabbert and praised Sommer's reliability and competence. Together they would have achieved a lot for the region, including the planned cycle path construction between Templin and Prenzlau, which serves as a current example of their successful cooperation. The news about summer resignation from September 2025 caused a sensation in the political landscape.
Tabbert hesitates with his own decision
While the Mayor of Templin comments on his counterpart, he remains vague even in terms of his political future. "My election period expires in mid -2026. I will announce my decision in the first half of 2025 at the latest," said Tabbert. This reluctance is considered fairly towards the citizens and the parties, since a timely announcement of his ambitions is important for the next choice.
Currently tabbert is part of the negotiation team for the coalition talks between the SPD and BSW. "It is an exciting task to be able to participate in working out the coalition agreement," he emphasizes. His goal is to bring the interests of rural spaces that are often overlooked in Potsdam to the political agenda. The focus is on topics such as improving the infrastructure and ensuring medical care. Despite the speculation about possible ministerial posts, tabbert remains calm: "I am very happy to work as a mayor."
