Peace is the greatest gift: a Christmas photo with a message

In the contemplative time around Christmas, photo artists Franz Roge and his small models, the siblings Nele and Leni from Rittgarten, set a strong sign of peace. Inspired by the devastating war pictures that flicker about the screens at Christmas time at Christmas time, Roge devoted his Christmas photo to the universal wish for peace this year. The two sisters quickly became photo models and embodied the hopeful message during the photo shoot that children can grow up in peace and security. Roge managed to implement the concept with a lot of creativity by integrating a gymnastics ball and a prepared hula hoop tire into the recording. All of this took several hours until the impressive picture for the Christmas message was finally completed.

A similar pursuit of peace was also the life's work of Frère Roger Schutz , the founder of the international ecumenical community of Taizé, who with his ideas for reconciliation of Christians and his committed assistance during Second World War became known. He dedicated his life to peace, helped refugees and was a spiritual leading figure that strongly promoted the concept of the community. His legacy and principles continue to live, inspired by his conviction, never agree to the split among Christians. His life ended tragically in 2005 when he was brutally killed during a prayer, which triggered great grief worldwide.
