A remarkable artist who has shaped the East German art scene for decades soon celebrates an important milestone. Günther Rechn, known for his impressive works, is honored on his 80th birthday with a comprehensive exhibition in the old sailing towel factory. Over 300 of his work are presented, which give a fascinating insight into his 40-year artistic development. The opening of the exhibition is planned for October 11th at 6:30 p.m. and promises to attract both old and new fans of the artist.
In the meantime, the municipality of Papitz is preparing for the Thanksgiving Festival, in which Pastor Axel Geldenmeyer celebrates its farewell next Sunday at 2 p.m. After a solemn service, visitors are invited to talk to each other over coffee and cake and to say goodbye to their pastor.
