Potsdam sets signs: The Bank for Respect” for girls and women!

In Potsdam, the "Bank for Respect" inaugurated its new location on Edisonallee - a powerful sign of recognition for girls and young women! Claudia Sprengel, the city's equality officer, officially presented the bank today. This impressive project was launched as part of the “Girls Bauen A Future without Violence” initiative by the association Inwole e.V.

"This bank is more than just a seat - it stands for the visibility and appreciation of girls and young women in Potsdam," explains Claudia Sprengel in emphatic. "It offers you a symbolic place in the cityscape and shows our commitment to promote your participation in all areas of life." Mayor Mike Schubert adds: "Potsdam lives from the diversity and commitment of our girls and women. Such projects are groundbreaking and encourage young women to actively shape their future and be present in all professional fields - even in the craft!"

a strong statement against violence

The bank, which was designed in a symbolic color that stands against violence, was designed and built by the girls 'girls' gift Zimtzicken in Potsdam himself. You have painted and labeled the bank by hand to set a visible sign of feminism and violence. Bianca Strzeja, project manager of the KUKMA, describes the bank as "a strong statement by the young generation against discrimination and for respectful cooperation".

This important project received support from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Integration and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg as well as a generous donation from the Zonta Club Potsdam e.V. The "Bank for Respect" is not just a piece of furniture, but a symbol for a non -violent and just future, for which the city of Potsdam is working with full strength!
