In Potsdam, a revolutionary residential project is started without car traffic! Construction work for a new residential area on the Brauhausberg, which is launched by the Hasso Plattner Foundation. Six modern residential buildings are being built on a spacious area of 8,000 square meters, right next to the renowned “Das Minsk” art house.

107 apartments planned

This project marks the first new building of the foundation in the state capital and promises an architectural feast for the eyes with a clinker look. Within two years, 107 apartments are to be built here, which will be rented out in mid -2026. In addition, two commercial units are planned to offer educational offers in close cooperation with the Kunsthaus. The rental prices are based on the market prices and should help to lure more visitors to the Kunsthaus.

This innovative living concept could fundamentally change the way we live in cities. A life without cars - that sounds like a green future! The construction work is the first step into a new era for Potsdam that creates both living space and cultural incentives.
