Tesla in Grünheide: Employees suffer from pressure and pain!

Grünheide. The Tesla employees in the Gigafactory are under immense printing! A current survey by IG Metall among 1200 employees has brought alarming results to light: 83 percent often or very often feel overloaded! While the company claims that working conditions are harmless, reality shows a different picture. Only 10 percent of the respondents believe that they can hold out the current work situation until retirement.

The survey, which was carried out despite massive resistance of management, reveals that 91 percent of employees suffer from physical symptoms such as head, neck and back pain. This lets the alarm bells ring! Dirk Schulze, district manager of IG Metall Berlin-Brandenburg-Sachsen, is outraged: "These results are shocking and make me angry!"

demands of the employees

The union urgently demands an additional paid break, as is common in other tariff -bound automotive plants. Incredible 90 percent of the employees support this requirement! Many also want a long weekend through layers rolling backwards. However, management reacts with unconventional measures: unannounced home visits to frequently sick employees to strengthen the "working morality". This happened after an above -average sick leave was found in the summer with up to 15 percent absence.

The IG Metall warns: The plant management must not ignore these alarming numbers! Instead of notifying or terminating critical employees, the proposed solutions of the works council should be taken seriously. The pressure on Tesla employees is growing, and the demands for improving working conditions are getting louder!
