A radiant anniversary in Kroppen! The DRK day care recently celebrated its 12th anniversary and celebrated a festival of joy and community. Head Claudia Simon, who leads the facility from the start, looks back proudly for the past few years: "For many seniors, day care became a place to relax, encounter and help - almost a piece at home." The celebrations were a colorful mix of activities that brought together young and old. Singing, tinkering, playing, cooking and baking were on the program. In particular, the children of the neighboring “World Decker” daycare center created a happy atmosphere, most recently at the Oktoberfest, where they delighted the seniors with an entertaining program. "We designed, laughed and celebrated together," says Simon enthusiastically.

The children had prepared a special surprise for the anniversary. Together with the day guests, they carried out an exciting experiment from the daycare experiment book. The question: What happens to a color point on a filter bag when it gets wet? The curiosity was great and the marvel at the results had the faces of the seniors shine. After the experiment, everyone raged together with balloons - an unforgettable day for everyone involved! "The joy in the faces of the day guests about the exuberance of the children could not be overlooked," enthuses Claudia Simon.
