The Brandenburg Klosterweg has been inviting hikers and spiritual seekers to enjoy the calm and beauty of nature since its facility. The path connects four former monasteries as well as numerous village and city churches and extends over the districts of Oberhavel, Ostprignitz-Ruppin and Uckermark in the church district of Oberes Havelland. The aim is not only to create a hiking route, but also to offer a space for inner calm and self-discovery, such as Himmelport.de
The monastery path is aimed primarily at people who want to escape everyday stress and get their heads clear. It also offers various spiritual offers. An important event is the traditional "pilgrimage", which takes place on May 24th from Fürstenberg/Havel to Himmelpfort. Details on the Klosterweg
The starting point of the Brandenburg Klosterweg is located on the market square in Fürstenberg. The directions leads through the official road, past the old castle and the castle that are separated by the school havel. After crossing the street, it goes north through the city park on the Schwedtsee and then under the Linden on the Ravensbrücker Dorfstraße.
The route continues over the extended Klosterstraße, past the Zehdenick district court, and finally reaches Friedrich-Ebert-Platz and the Evangelical City Church. The marketplace, the historic town hall and the tourist information are also on this way.
For the west route, the path on the market square in Lindow begins, where the peace oak is. Here is also the tourist information with a view of the monastery complex, the ruin of the convent building, the garden of the book and the Justus-Perels-Haus. Near the monastery there is a water tret system that is designed according to Kneipp -Schem principle.
