Blucher GmbH in Premnitz: Havelland's secret weapon against chemical threat!

In the picturesque Ribbeck, the economic award of the Havelland district was recently awarded, and a company particularly stands out: Blucher GmbH from Premnitz. The connection to the organization for the ban on chemical weapons (OPCW) shows how important the products of Blucher are. This company produces protective clothing, which is essential for the safety of employees in dangerous operations and is in demand in more than 55 countries.

The Blucher GmbH, which has been working in the Havelland for 20 years, receives this award in the category "Companies with more than 50 employees". District Administrator Roger Lewandowski emphasized at the award that the investment in a new production hall with a budget of 12 million euros is a strong sign of trust in the region.

The importance of the award ceremony

The award ceremony took place in the historic Ribbeck Castle and was carried out for the 28th time in cooperation with the Mittelbrandenburg Sparkasse. With prize money of 1000 euros, not only the innovative strength of the companies is recognized, but also their contribution to the economic stability of the region. Sebastian Zimmermann from Blücher GmbH accepted the award and explained that this award was an appreciation for the previous services and is an incentive for the future.

Another award winner who was awarded in the category "Companies with fewer than 50 employees" is the bakery and pastry shop Ziehm in Falkensee. The successor in this family business was successfully designed. The new owner, Romano Ziehm, sees the night work as an opportunity to have more time for his family, which underlines his enthusiasm for the profession. This additional perspective of corporate management gives the award a human aspect.

In the tourism category, the service service Elstal GmbH was honored for its innovative concept. This company not only offers accommodation offers, but also established itself as an important partner for events on the campus of the local educational institution.

A particularly creative approach was awarded by Alldoro GmbH, a toy manufacturer from Ketzin who received the prize in the innovation/foundation category. The company plans to take new ground after taking over in 2023. There are also progress in the agricultural sector; Milchgut Bahnitz GmbH was recognized for its contribution to animal welfare and animal health.

The award ceremony was a brilliant event overall, in which not only the excellent services of the companies were recognized, but also addressed the jury challenges. District Administrator Lewandowski noted that the decisions were not always unanimously made this year, but always with remarkable majorities.

The event ended with a musical performance of the striking ensemble, which perfectly rounded off the solemn atmosphere. The diversity of the award winners reflects the innovative strength and entrepreneurship in Havelland, while the awards are significant recognition for both the companies and the entire region.

There was also recognition for the young people: the youth funding award went to the comprehensive school "Immanuel Kant" in Falkensee. Through school companies and AGS, the students make a valuable contribution to career orientation, which the jury saw as a decisive criterion for the award ceremony. Another highlight of the event was the award of the "Trash Ninjas" from Großderschauer Environment AG, which was able to score with its commitment to environmental protection, especially in children and adolescents.
