Full closure of the L 63: Building measures endanger traffic safety!

Staupitz, Deutschland - From January 8, 2025, the state road L 63 between Staupitz and Grünewalde will be fully blocked. This was announced by Niederlausitz Aktuell The reason for the blocking is construction work for the backfilling of cavities under the road. The measure serves to ensure traffic safety and is expected to be planned by January 31, 2025. In the event of unforeseen problems or weather -related delays, however, the blocking can extend.

A signposted detour leads via the K 6609 district road towards Kleinleipisch, the Landesstraße L 60 towards Lichterfeld-Schacksdorf and the state road L 62 towards Finsterwalde and Elsterwerda. The city of Finsterwalde asks for understanding the restrictions and refers to the observance of local signage.

The roadway on the L 63 “Kautzener Straße” lane is renewed north of Thaya over a length of around 700 meters. This construction measure, which began in the summer of 2023, comprises a total area of around 4,200 square meters and also aims to improve traffic safety. The work includes a 20 centimeter stabilization of cement to reinforce the existing frost protection layer as well as the installation of a seven centimeter wear and a three centimeter thick cover layer.

In addition, the drainage facilities are adjusted in the course of the road construction work, and the banquet will be improved according to the new circumstances. The total costs of the renovation are around 260,000 euros, which are borne entirely by the state of Lower Austria, such as -transmitted by West-Ost-Medien
