Caution, Luckau! Fraudsters camouflage themselves as a telecom employee!

Luckau, Deutschland - The city of Luckau (Dahme-Spreewald) raises the alarm! Fraudsters who pretend to be a telecom employee do their mischief! Last weekend and Monday, several incidents were reported in which three men tried to get sensitive personal data in normal clothing.

These unscrupulous perpetrators stated that they were on behalf of Telekom and tried to obtain information such as Iban, date of birth and place of birth of unsuspecting citizens. They even managed to get into different apartments and tried to penetrate the individual rooms. Particularly alarming: At some houses they left so -called crook tines - secret symbols that serve criminals as hidden references to the respective property!

Caution is required!

The city administration of Luckau urgently asks the population for help and asks to report suspicious men immediately. If these people appear again and cannot be identified properly, the police should be alerted immediately under number 110. Real Telekom employees are always in service clothing with the imprint "on behalf of Telekom" and the official company logo.

You also have an ID with your image, which has important information such as name, ID number and validity. A QR code on the ID card enables customers to check the identity of the employee by being directed to the official Telekom website. In addition, authorized employees always have a letter from Telekom that confirms their legitimacy. Protect yourself and be vigilant!
