Colorful birds: Tanzheater workshop for Potsdam children!
In Potsdam-Drewitz, an exciting dance theater workshop entitled "Colorful Birds" takes place, which offers young participants the opportunity to express their emotions creatively. The workshop will be carried out from October 28 to November 1, 2023, with the premiere on November 1st at 4 p.m. in the Oskar. The meeting center, located in Oskar-Meßter-Straße 4-6. Admission and food are free of charge, which makes the event particularly accessible.
The experienced theater teacher and director Kathrin Thiele, supported by dancer and choreographer Sophie Brunner, takes over the management of the workshop. They have created a space that enables playing and expressing feelings such as arguments, anger, comfort and grief, without pressure to perform. The aim of this workshop is to help children grasp and present their inner thoughts and emotions through dance and theater.
a room for creative development
A central element of the workshop is the motto "be free and different like a colorful bird". This should inspire the children to look into the future with self -confidence and to feel part of a community. This is particularly important at a time when many children are faced with challenges that affect their expression and belonging.
Participation in this workshop does not require any previous knowledge of dancing or playing theater, which makes it open to all children, regardless of their background or their skills. In addition, younger participants are particularly welcome who may only be new to Potsdam or whose mother tongue is not German. This not only promotes creative potential, but also the integration.
For interested parents, there is the possibility to register their children by email at [daniel.piechotka@oskar-drewitz.de] or by phone at 0172 1593252 from Kathrin Thiele. The workshop not only offers a platform for artistic development, but also a valuable opportunity for encounter and exchange between the young participants.
The initiative for this workshop comes at the right time because the demand for creative offers for children in the Region is high. Workshops like this not only promote personal development, but also the social skills of the children. Further information is available on the organizers' digital platforms.
