Integration of digital offers

Despite the increasing digitization, the STG emphasizes that the printed brochure continues to be very important. Mayor Steffen Scheller underlined the importance of analog information for the region, since these are often more compact and clearer than internet research. In order to strengthen the digital component, many offers are provided with QR codes, which enable users to find faster. In addition, the STG has a steadily growing presence on various platforms that already counts around 50,000 followers.

In addition to the offers in the brochure, the topic of accessibility is also taken into account. As The Tagesspiegel reported, for example the hand-bike driver Sille Boll, have had positive experiences. The references to public toilets and the accessibility for people with mobility restrictions are an important step for more inclusion in tourism, especially along popular routes such as the Elberadweg. Plans for a continuous improvement of travel with special offers for different needs are an important focus for the future.
