Ceremony for the peaceful revolution: Invitation to Frankfurt (Oder)!

Konzerthalle Frankfurt (Oder), Deutschland - An unforgettable event is imminent! The state government of Brandenburg invites you to a festive act in the Frankfurt (Oder) concert hall (Oder) to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the peaceful revolution. This significant commemoration is accompanied by prominent personalities, including the President of the Landtag Prof. Ulrike Liedtke, Prime Minister Dr. Dietmar Woidke and Frankfurt Mayor René Wilke, who will address all greetings to the assembled citizens. A highlight of the evening will be the speech by Basil Kerski, the director of the European Solidarność Center in Gdansk. His participation is a powerful sign of the deep connections between the Polish Solidarność movement and the peaceful revolution in the GDR.

The celebrations begin with a solemn ecumenical service in the Friedenskirche, followed by a ceremony in the concert hall. A moving short film for the peaceful revolution in Frankfurt (Oder) is shown, initiated by the processing officer Dr. Maria Nooke. Musically, the event is accompanied by the Junge Philharmonie Brandenburg, which underlines the emotional depth of the celebrations.
