E-mobility on water: Havel region becomes a pioneer for sustainable tourism!

In a pioneering event in the technology and start-up center, a revolutionary concept for promoting tourist e-mobility in the Havel region was presented! Around 50 experts from the fields of water tourism, urban planning and business development agreed to shape the future of environmentally friendly mobility on water. The concept was commissioned by the WIR network, which combines the actors from Brandenburg an der Havel, Werder, Potsdam, Schwielowsee and Groß Kreutz, in collaboration with the LAG Fläming and the Inspektour company.

The urban economic development emphasized the urgency of this initiative: "The transition to e-mobility is an ecological need to react to the challenges of climate change. The Havel region between Potsdam and Havelberg can become a pioneer for environmentally friendly mobility on the water. Tourism in Brandenburg an der Havel would be further strengthened, since the demand for guests would be sustainable and Vacation -related vacation continues to grow. " These words underline the importance of e-mobility for the region!

important goals and measures

The event not only served to exchange ideas, but also to clarify future requirements for low -emission mobility. Central results of a comprehensive analysis were presented, including a SWOT analysis by the region and concrete starter projects. The overarching goals of the concept include:

  • structure of a compatible, compatible e-charging infrastructure
  • increase in the use of e-mobility in the region
  • Improvement of the tourist infrastructure
  • Promotion of sustainable cooperation
  • Consideration of environmental and nature conservation aspects
  • expansion of digital solutions and the creation of a central implementation management

The concept is now being refined, based on the valuable suggestions from the event. The final version is expected to be published this year and could catapult the Havel region into a new era of sustainable mobility!
