Martins parades in Berlin: Where traffic on November 11th stalls!

Every year on November 11th, Berlin turns into a shining lantern sea! Children and their families move through the streets with self -made lanterns and celebrate the traditional Martin parade. But carers be careful: these festive removals bring traffic to a standstill!

The Berlin Transport Information Center (VIZ) warns of considerable traffic restrictions in several parts of the city. On Monday, November 11th, it will be closely on the streets in Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg, Mitte, Pankow and Steglitz-Zehlendorf. The colorful lanterns and happy songs of the children attract attention while drivers have to be patient.
