Seven -year -old wins playground competition: inaugurated seesaw on the Anschützweg!

Anschützweg, 13591 Berlin, Deutschland - A little winner, great joy! Anthony-Noel Penderuk, only seven years old, won the 2023 playground competition with his creative sand sculpture as part of the “Room for Children's Dreams” project. His wish? A brand new seesaw on the playground on the Anschützweg in Staaken! And now she's there!

On November 15, the seesaw was ceremoniously inaugurated, with Anthony at the top, accompanied by building councilor Thorsten Schatz (CDU) and Olaf Höhn, the managing director of the Florida ice cream factory who support the project. The seesaw, which has long been missing on this playground, is now a highlight for all children who play there. Anthony had chosen the seesaw after his sand sculpture convinced the jury with an impressive photo, even if the artwork was quickly destroyed again.

new playgrounds for the youth

But that's not all! On November 13, the new youth playground "Am Havelgarten" in Haselhorst was opened, also supported by "Room for Children's Dreams". There are exciting offers such as a Calisthenics facility, table tennis slabs and a trampoline, everything especially planned for the young people. The wishes of future users were recorded in a survey in March 2023.

On November 14th, the inauguration of another playground at Götelstraße 70 followed, which not only offers play equipment, but also including offers. The spacious football field, which serves as a connection to the future roll sports facility, was financed with funding from the urban planning program "Living centers and quarters". A new path now leads directly to the Havel - a real win for the entire neighborhood!
