Winner of the architecture competition: New Center for Falkenhagener Feld!

Westerwaldstraße 16/18, 13589 Berlin, Deutschland - The tension in Berlin-Spandau is increasing! On October 17, 2024, the architecture competition awaited with many fanfare ended for the new meeting center on Westerwaldstrasse. In a gripping finale, the nine -member jury decided on the best designs that are supposed to play a central role in the Falkenhagener Feld district. The planned center will be an important point of contact for the residents and should offer space for seniors, young people and cultural offers.

The requirements for the designs were extremely high: multifunctionality, inviting green areas, and a clear opening towards the square should be included in the planning. After intensive discussions, the jury, chaired by Dipl. Ing. Brigitte Holz, selected the best designs, which are now presented in a free exhibition from November 7 to December 5, 2024 in the Falkenhagener Feld clubhouse. This work shows that architecture can be alive and inviting!
