Terrible bus accident in Brandenburg: two dead and many injuries!

A serious accident occurred on the night on the A11 in Brandenburg when a Flixbus came off the road. The incident took place at around 1:00 a.m. at the Randowbruch car park and tragically led to the death of two people. The deceased are a 29-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man. In addition, eleven other passengers were injured, including four heavily and seven light.

The bus was on a trip from Berlin to Stettin in Poland when it came to the right from the road under winter road conditions and tipped over. A total of 13 passengers and a driver were on board. The rescue workers had to free the passengers through the opened windscreen of the fallen bus, while a cross -crossing truck may contribute to the cause of the accident. The bus was secured after the assignment and the accident site was released after the bus was recovered.

Investigations and reactions

The exact circumstances of the accident are currently being examined by accident experts and an expert from the public prosecutor. In a first statement, Flixbus expressed compassion for those affected and emphasized that the company worked closely with the authorities to clarify the cause of the accident. This incident is reminiscent of a serious bus accident in March 2023, in which a double-decker flix bus had an accident on the A9 near Leipzig, in which four women died and 30 more injured.
