Gambling controls in Reinickendorf: Raid takes 80 devices
In a coordinated campaign in September, the regulatory office Reinickendorf, the Berlin police and customs police inspected numerous money and gambling centers in the district. Over 80 gaming devices were checked, some of which were collected immediately.
Julia Schrod-Thiel, district councilor for order, environment and traffic, explains that 12 administrative offenses were determined during the campaign and three gaming devices were immediately confiscated. These measures serve to protect consumers from gross violations of gambling regulations.
The controls mainly focused on Scharnweberstraße and the Holländerstraße, without major events. In the future, attention will continue to be taken into account the monitoring of gaming machines that can be a danger due to their addictive nature.
Schrod-Thiel emphasizes the importance of cooperation with the authorities in order to prevent the illegal operation of manipulated or not approved money play equipment. Such machines can quickly become a trap for players and the consequences extend to criminal action.
The measures aim to ensure the protection of citizens and to ensure the proper operation of gaming equipment. The inspections continue to contain potential risks and ensure compliance with the legal regulations.
