Thanksgiving festival in Reinickendorf: Experience nature closeness and community
Last Saturday, September 28th, the Reinickendorf garden work school celebrated the annual Thanksgiving Festival. The education city councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) opened the event with a moving speech about the importance of the garden work school for the community. He emphasized that the school was more than just a place of learning, but a place in which nature, sustainability and cooperation are experienced.
The Thanksgiving Festival attracted numerous visitors and presented an inspiring insight into the extensive projects that have been implemented on the site in recent months. The lovingly designed gardens as well as the new initiatives created by the commitment of employees and volunteers testify to great commitment and dedication.
Particularly noteworthy is the close cooperation with various partners such as Abraxas, the Berlin-Brandenburg foxcare center, the Museum Reinickendorf, the NABU, the German Wald Youth and the Förderverein of the Garden Labor School e.V. These cooperation enrich the educational program of the students and offer a wide range of learning opportunities that promote a deep connection to nature and the environment.
The garden work school plays a central role in the formation and promotion of young people. In addition to learning practical skills in horticulture and environmental protection, social skills and teamwork are promoted. Especially at a time when contact with nature is often neglected, the garden work school offers a valuable space for personal experiences and development opportunities.
Harald Muschner thanked all employees, volunteers and partners for their commitment and passion, who contributed to the success of the Thanksgiving Festival. Their commitment is a significant contribution to promoting sustainable and community culture.
