Raser at 228 km/h on the A23: Police grab it overnight!

In dramatic scenes on the streets, two racers put the police on alert. On Saturday evening, around 11:30 p.m., a police patrol on the Southeast Tangent (A23) noticed a 20-year-old who was traveling with insane 228 km/h, while the speed limit was a permitted 80 km/h. Despite the initial inconsistency, the driver ultimately admitted that he had driven far too quickly. He only had a test guide license and was traveling by car. The police took off his driver's license and now checks whether the vehicle is confiscated, as ORF reports .

But that was not the only case on the weekend. In Berlin, a 21-year-old overtook a police car on the A100 motorway with shocking 165 km/h, while a maximum of 80 km/h are allowed in this area. This ruthless driving style was a significant danger to other road users. The result of this breakneck campaign was quickly clear: the police ended the trip, confiscated the vehicle and the racer with a fine of 700 euros, two points in the Flensburg driving appropriation register and a three -month driving ban, such as 24Auto reports .

speed drivers under pressure

Both incidents illustrate how risky and illegal driving at excessive speed is. While the Berlin police officers were surprised in one case that the driver was not impressed by their presence at all, the case on the A23 shows that young drivers often race regardless of safety. The authorities are now required to increase their measures to comply with the speed limits and at the same time to minimize potential dangers to the public.
