S-Bahn Berlin: Important changes and failures on the S2!

Pankow, Berlin, Deutschland - The S-Bahn Berlin, the pulsating backbone of public transport in the capital, faces a massive disorder! On the highly frequented line S2, which promotes thousands of commuters and tourists every day, there have been considerable restrictions since Friday evening (November 15) at 10 p.m. The connection between the S-Bahn stations Pankow and Karow is interrupted, and that has far-reaching consequences for the passengers!

Usually the S2 winds from Blankenfelde via the heart of Berlin to Bernau and serves central stops such as Südkreuz, Potsdamer Platz and Friedrichstrasse. But now the Pankow, Pankow-Heinersdorf, Blankenburg and Karow stations are completely canceled until November 18 at around 1.30 a.m. The trains only run between Blankenfelde and Pankow and from Karow to Bernau. Replacement traffic on buses has been set up to support the affected passengers, but the inconvenience is unmistakable.

changed departure times and construction work

But that's not all! Due to the ongoing construction work on an electronic signal box, there are also changing departure times. The S2 drives from Karow to Bernau 19 minutes later than usual, while the return trip to Karow even takes 23 to 24 minutes longer. The S-Bahn Berlin has announced these changes on its website and thus ensures even more confusion among passengers.

The situation is tense and the passengers have to adjust to an uncomfortable journey. With the S-Bahn Berlin it is often a question of "driving or waiting"-and at the moment it is time to: wait!
