Successful vehicle registration office in Pritzwalk: A milestone for the citizens!

Pritzwalk, Deutschland - In January 2020, the extension of the vehicle registration office was opened in the Pritzwalker station building. The extension is open five days a week, while the main office in the district administration is only open for three days. Citizens contacted the region's registration offices between 61,000 and 73,000 times a year. After five years, a positive evaluation showed that the cooperation between the district and the municipalities works well. Mayor Dr. Ronald Thiel emphasized the importance of personal contact in times of digitization and there are already discussions about possible further collaborations between the district and municipalities in relation to vehicle registrations, such as Nordkurier reported.

In addition to the developments in Pritzwalk, a new Vehicle approval regulations (FZV) will come into force on September 1, 2023, which was announced in the Federal Law Gazette on July 28, 2023. In addition, people with vehicles approved in Ukraine are informed that they have to prove automotive liability insurance and that the vehicle must be approved in Germany at the latest one year after entry.
