The student budget is a fascinating project that practically introduces students to participation. Benjamin Fritz, the district councilor for school and sport, recently informed about the latest developments.

The schools in the Mitte district will again have the opportunity to take part in this project in the coming year. These schools have a budget of over 4,000 euros, the use of which the pupils can decide democratically. Participation is possible for all public schools in district sponsorship, regardless of whether it is primary schools, integrated secondary schools, high schools, community schools or schools with special education funding.

In addition to the budget, the schools also receive educational support in the form of advice, materials and workshops from the youth participation service center.
