Free cycling courses in Vienna: Children safely on the way to school!

In Vienna, the project “Mobility Makes School” starts, which offers free cycling courses and workshops for elementary school children. As OE24.at , interested parents can now register. The aim of the project is to prepare children on their way to school and to convey their skills to ride your bike safely and navigate through the city.

The Vienna mobility agency has developed a comprehensive offer for this for over ten years. In particular, the school path box helps first graders to get to the destination safely on foot, supplemented by exciting workshops in which the small traffic detectives playfully explore road traffic. The cycling courses take place on school days between April 22nd and October 31st and attract around 7,000 children annually. Overall, the programs of the mobility agency reach over 36,000 Viennese children aged three to thirteen years. The city has also set up special icing rooms to ensure optimal exercise conditions.

extensive development opportunities

The urban offer is available free of charge for teachers to further strengthen the children's mobility awareness. Registration for these programs is possible online from mid -March, as the Vienna mobility agency announced on its website. Further information can be found on Mobilitaetsagentur.at
