RB25 trains drive again: commuters fight with restrictions!

Ahrensfelde, Deutschland - A dramatic fire set fire to a regional train of the Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn (NEB) at Ahrensfelde train station on Saturday evening! The train driver suddenly noticed smoke and immediately alerted the emergency services. Thanks to the quick actions of the train staff, all five passengers could be saved from the three wagons in good time. But the Situation was delicious: the enormous heat led to parts of the roof on the affected track, which resulted in the immediate blocking of the train station.

RB25 trains are driving again-but with restrictions!

From Monday morning, the trains of the RB25 line will roll again between Werneuchen and Berlin-Ostkreuz! However, there are restrictions for commuters: The stop at Ahrensfelde's S-Bahn station remains canceled for the time being. The Berlin-Brandenburg transport association has updated the situation, but it remains unclear when the Ahrensfelde train station can be approached normally again. A fire commissioner of the Berlin LKA has started the investigation into the cause of the fire in order to bring light into the dark.

The RB25 line, which is wrong between Berlin-Eastkreuz and Werneuchen and usually also holds in Ahrensfelde, has been impaired by the construction work of the Deutsche Bahn since mid-October. Now the fire disaster is added, which further restricts the traffic. So commuters have to adapt to uncomfortable detours, while the cleanup and repairs in Ahrensfelde are in full swing.
