Cold aid in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg: 308 overnight stays for the needy!

In Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, the 2024/2025 cold hilfish season began. The district provides up to 308 overnight stays daily, with about 29 percent of the places reserved for female guests. With this offer, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg leads in Berlin and offers almost a third of all low-threshold overnight accommodation, including emergency accommodation and night cafés.

In addition to the seasonal cold help offers, there are all -year -old emergency accommodations such as Ohlauer 365 and the emergency accommodation for women "in the middle of the neighborhood".

The deputy mayor and social councilor Oliver Nöll emphasized the professionalization of the cold help offer and the need for a reform. He praised the volunteers and relies on more addictive offers, low -threshold social support and a qualitative development of the system. The long -term goal is to overcome homelessness in Berlin by 2030 and to make the offers of help superfluous.
