Peace protests in Berlin: 30,000 for diplomacy instead of grenades!

The demonstration train started at three selected points in the city, and the participants moved towards the victory column in the Berlin Tiergarten. A final rally was planned here, in which prominent speakers such as the chairwoman of the BSW, Sahra Wagenknecht, as well as the SPD politician Ralf Stegner and the left-wing politician Gesine Lötzsch.

According to the Berlin police, around 1,000 emergency services were on site to safely accompany the protest. There were also isolated calls that were directed against Israel, which illustrated the political tensions that exist in the context of this conflict.

The "never again war" initiative positions itself as part of the peace movement and in particular calls for the termination of the warlike conflicts in Ukraine and in Gaza through negotiations. In addition, the movement vehemently opposes the deployment of US medium-sized routes in Germany from 2026 and appeals to a peaceful foreign policy.
