terrifying! The Federal Criminal Police Office reveals an alarming statistics for 2023: Almost three tried female female a day! And the horror does not end there - a woman loses her life almost every day just because she is a woman. A shocking reality that many want to dismiss as unreal. The background is hardly to be grasped: female, often a cruel consequence of toxic relationships, show the dark entanglement in patriarchal thinking structures. Men often consider women as their property and fear of losing a partner, leads to unimaginable, murder!

How many warning signals were ignored? 360 femicides last year mean as many missed opportunities to prevent crimes! The call for a violence law becomes louder, but the implementation is blocked by the ongoing austerity measures of the FDP. A draft law that would enable a legal right to protection in women's shelters and a mandatory work with perpetrators is on the brink, while 14,000 places in women's shelters are missing nationwide! If the government does not get its deeds under control, how many women still have to die?

Although a new law is to be hoped for, it remains clear: this is just a drop on the hot stone! Even if it should come into force in 2030, the federal government will provide the women affected by violence with far fewer funds than necessary. Those responsible have to ask themselves: Who do they actually protect? It is not the support of these women who is expensive, but hesitation, life costs! It is time to break the silence and finally take responsibility before more innocent people have to suffer from the brutal yoke of patriarchal structures.
