Dresden alliance for children wins German daycare price: 15,000 euros!

Dresden. A radiant evening for the Dresden "Alliance for Healthy Growth of Children"! At the prestigious awarding of the German Kita Prize in Berlin, the alliance secured the impressive second place in the "Local Alliance for Early Education of the Year" category. This award is a prize money of 15,000 euros - a real reason to celebrate!

The alliance that has been active in the Prohlis district for years fights against alarming child poverty and is committed to equal opportunities. With 14 daycare facilities as central contact points, it organizes exciting district rally for preschool children, offers a family kiosk and ensures health advice through the pediatric and adolescent service. The jury was particularly impressed by the multi -professional cooperation that takes place across different areas.

A highlight of the jury assessment was the “Sister Agnes” project, in which a midwife actively attended families and accompanies them from birth to the daycare crossing. This innovative approach to combat child poverty and to promote equality of opportunities has come into focus. In addition, the alliance received an additional price for the "attractiveness of the work" of 2,000 euros, funded by the German Trade Union Confederation. Here the alliance scored with creative approaches that underline the commitment of the specialists.

The award of the German Kita Prize was awarded this year for the seventh time by the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs and the German Children's and Youth Foundation. The Kita Regenbogenland from Rötha near Leipzig was recognized as the "daycare center of the year" and inspires with a concept that gives the children the freedom to shape their daily routine themselves. An evening full of success for the Saxon facilities!
