Her academic career began at the University of Heidelberg, where she studied art history, archeology and Egyptology. She established herself in academia with a dissertation on the reception of Egypt in 19th century European architecture. The expert at “Cash for Rares”

As an expert at Cash for Rares, she examines everything from paintings to jewelry and bronze from the 18th to 20th centuries. Her passion for the unique objects and the stories behind them is obvious. “I like the unique objects, the surprising stories and discoveries, but above all the conversations with different and interesting people,” she explains enthusiastically.

Although she is in the public eye, her personal life remains a mystery. Information about her relationship status is scarce, and even on her Instagram account, where she has around 1,700 followers, there is hardly any insight into her love life. Instead, she often appears with her colleagues from the show.

The art expert is not only active on television, but also researches at the Egyptology Institute at the University of Heidelberg. Her most recent publication, published in 2024, deals with the veiled temples of Hohenzieritz and Berlin. With her knowledge and experience, Dr. Friederike Werner has established herself as an indispensable voice in the world of art.
