Her academic career began at the University of Heidelberg, where she studied art history, archeology and Egyptology. She established herself in academia with a dissertation on the reception of Egypt in 19th century European architecture. She brings her expertise not only to the television world, but also to numerous publications that shed light on art history.

As an expert at Cash for Rares, she examines everything from paintings to jewelry and bronze from the 18th to 20th centuries.
