Tilmann Rothhammer, the managing director for Customer Service & Supply Chain at CCEP, commented on the situation: "We are aware that the planned changes are very painful for the employees concerned. It is all the more important to us to implement all intended changes socially responsibly and transparently." This statement shows the company's efforts to assume a certain social responsibility in these layoffs, even if the plans represent some significant challenges for the employees.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners indicates that it is the largest beverage company in Germany, with around 6,500 employees at 27 locations, of which 14 production locations are. These significant changes are part of a strategy that aims to optimize the utilization of the production and logistics network and to counter the challenges in beverage logistics.

The step is regarded as a signal that indicates the current economic challenges that companies have to cope with in order to remain competitive.
