The lighting of the bull is not an easy undertaking, explains the experienced sound master. "Light reflects different depending on the material and color, and in order to achieve the perfect effect, many tests and experiments are necessary," said Schmidt. With patience and a trained eye, he found the perfect light intensity that gives the bull a majestic appearance. Other objects in Buxtehude have already staged him with creative light installations. These include the illuminated "Kogge" and the impressive St. Petri Church Tower, both of which create fascinating moods in the evening.
