Berlin Left: Clear stance against anti-Semitism and violence!
At today's meeting of the state executive committee of the Berlin Left, an energetic and constructive debate was held on the results of the state party conference and the upcoming federal party conference. The chairmen Franziska Brychcy and Maximilian Schirmer expressed optimism and announced the adoption of a clear resolution that lays down the cornerstones of their policy.
"We are aware of our responsibility and resolutely stand up for the rights of our comrades who are publicly or internally hostile. We strongly reject threats and unjustified attacks," said Brychcy and Schirmer. In a clear declaration of war, they are working on a concrete package of measures against anti-Semitism and expressly oppose any form of discrimination. “We stand for a policy that protects people of the Jewish faith.”
Consistent stance against anti-Semitism
The left has taken a clear position: anti-Semitism will not be tolerated. The newly developed package of measures is intended to not only consolidate the decisions, but also to promote an open dialogue with Jewish communities and affected communities. “We draw clear boundaries when our decisions are questioned,” emphasize the chairmen.
“The developments of the last few weeks have shown us how important it is to continue this dialogue continuously and to follow up with action,” said those responsible. The state association plans to closely examine and further work on the previous discussions surrounding the state party conference to ensure that all members can work in a respectful and supportive environment. Today's resolution shows that the Berlin Left is determined to take a clear stance against anti-Semitism.
