In a recently published international ranking of the best “food cities”, Bayern is taking two top positions with Munich and Nuremberg. The renowned travel and restaurant guide "Tasteatlas" highlighted the culinary hotspots worldwide in his list, whereby Munich ranks 49th of the "Top 100 Best Food Cities in the World". With an impressive average rating of 4.5 out of 5.0 points, the Bavarian capital can describe itself as the best "food" city of Germany, while Nuremberg lands 99th place with 4.3 points. Munich gastronomy is enjoying growing popularity, especially thanks to regional classics such as white sausages, pretzels and especially the famous Munich beer. In the analysis, factors such as gastro density, the number of star restaurants and the search volume for restaurants were used.
