Autobahn attention: full closure between Dessau and Coswig for repairs!
in and around Coswig will once again lead to considerable traffic impairments in the coming days. Autobahn GmbH of the federal government has announced a full closure on Autobahn 9 in order to carry out urgent repair work on construction site traffic. This measure will take place on Monday, October 7, from 9 p.m. to Tuesday, October 8th, at 6 a.m.
The blocked section extends from the junction of the Dessau-Ost to the junction Coswig in the direction of travel Berlin. As early as 7 p.m., access is closed via the onward and departure Vockerode and Dessau-Ost towards Berlin. The diversion goes through the U94 and U95 requirements redirections, which lead to the Coswig junction.
Construction work and additional closures
In the past few weeks there have always been full closures on this route. According to the authorities, the use of the lanes for both directions was more intense than originally assumed, which increased the load on the road surface. The “Kliekener Aue” parking space toilet system will also be closed in the direction of Berlin due to repair work.
Not only on the highway construction sites are active. The Coswig junction in the direction of Munich is expected to be closed until November 1st, and the diversion will take place via the next junction Köselitz and Vockerode. At the same time, the state road 133 will probably be completely closed until October 18 at the Schrotberg. Here the road is renovated on about 1.5 kilometers.
Another serious problem is the intended full closure of the Elbe bridge between Dessau and Roßlau, which is planned for the second weekend in October. This is expected to bring additional traffic disruptions.
New construction site on the B 107
In addition to the already announced closures, traffic disruptions will also be expected on federal road 107 from October 7th. The roadway is renewed on a three and a half kilometer long section between Göritz and the state border with Brandenburg. Traffic is diverted via the state roads 122 and L 124, starting at the Köselitz junction via Cobbelsdorf and Senst before it is led to the L 83 and L 831 on the Brandenburg side.
These extensive construction work and closures illustrate the authorities' efforts to maintain the infrastructure. The restrictions will lead to disorders in traffic at short notice, but are necessary in order to maintain the safety and quality of road traffic.
