On Friday, a car drove into a group of people in the eastern German city of Magdeburg who were at a Christmas market. This was reported by the German news agency dpa.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested, as the dpa announced, citing non-named government representatives of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.
