B&B Hotels: Expansion strategy for over 150 new openings in sight!
The B&B Hotels group remains tireless on its growth path. For the current year, the company has recorded an impressive 48 new openings, including 38 acquisitions and ten first-time openings. According to current information, B&B plans to open hotels in Wismar, Bruchsal-Karlsdorf and Kalisz, Poland between December and the next period. In total they have signed 60 rental agreements so far this year, underlining their ambitions to strengthen their presence in Germany and beyond. The brand is being further expanded in Frankfurt-Oder, Hagen, Idar-Oberstein as well as in St. Pölten, Aalborg and Warsaw hotelvor9.de.
Plans for the future
The budget hotel group is aiming to open more than 150 new hotels in Germany in the next ten years. During the Corona crisis, the portfolio was expanded by nine hotels in 2020, which underlines the constant growth strategy. Max C. Luscher, CEO of B&B Hotels in Central and Northern Europe, emphasizes that recent openings have performed well despite the travel disadvantages during the pandemic. They are actively looking for new locations, especially in cities with high demand, such as dayticket.io reported.
Eleven new hotels are planned in Germany and four in Austria for the coming year; additional takeovers of existing hotels could also be considered. The requirements for the new locations are clear: cities and metropolitan areas with at least 100,000 overnight stays per year as well as good connections for cars. B&B Hotels is confident that despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the demand for travel will increase again, which continues to drive its expansion.
