University President Paul Pauli was pleased to comment on the progress of the JMU and the positive confirmation of the research strength by the ranking. He emphasizes: "The consistently high evaluation of our research quality confirms that we are on the right track and are very well positioned for the excellent competition with the leading German universities." This assessment shows that the JMU is recognized not only at national, but also at an international level for their achievements.
The Ranking uses a total of 18 indicators to evaluate universities, including the number of publications and citations, reputation in research and teaching, the acquisition of funding and the international orientation. This shows that the JMU continuously gains quality in various key areas of university formation.
The outstanding results in the ranking can be seen as a success for the entire university thanks to the committed work in research and teaching. The continuous improvement process is actively promoted by the university in order to further consolidate its position in the international educational market.
