Green top politician visits organic mere farmers in Moosbach!
Moosbach, Deutschland - Moosbach. An exciting experience for the Greens boss Gisela Sengl, who visited the Uchhahühle, led by the passionate biogue growth Fritz Steinhilber! This is not just about vegetables, but also about burning topics of agriculture!
While the members of the Green Circle Associations Neustadt/WN and Weiden were in their luggage with limited knowledge of agriculture, Sengl shone as an experienced organic farmer. At the invitation of the district associations, she traveled to the picturesque Upper Palatinate and was carried away by Steinhilber's passionate organic cultivation. Fritz, who has been growing Bioland vegetables for over 30 years, does not have a green party book, but is regarded by the community as a "greener". After the loss of his wife Heike, he manages the farm together with his daughter Jutta - a family business with a heart!
glyposate and bio-variety
The two hours full of intensive discussions and interesting insights into the organic farming were a real eye opener for visitors. Steinhilber exposed the harmful effects of glyphosate and passionately promoted greener agriculture. With coffee and cake in his cozy cuisine, Steinhilber also explained the view of his conventionally economy colleagues, while he fought for the biological cultivation.
The member of the state parliament Laura Weber brought up important topics during the visit and recalled a last meeting in the state parliament, in which the strengthening of sales markets for organic food was discussed. She vehemently demanded that newly built schools provide organic catering for pupils at the same time-an unsustainable condition if you consider how important healthy nutrition is!
After visiting the Uchhahühle, Gisela Sengl, who has been running the Bavarian Greens since the end of January, answered the questions of the members in the "Braugwirt" in Weiden. A day full of knowledge and discussions about the future of agriculture!
