Traunstein: Record prices at beef auction - bull chocolate enthusiastic!

In Traunstein, an exciting cattle auction caused a sensation! Among the numerous breeding animals, the impressive "chocolate" breeding animal, which is now used in the Neustadt insemination station. The Mayer family from Rimsting, who breeds the bull, can look forward to a sales price of 16,500 euros. "Chocolate" is not only an eye -catcher, but also a real breeding miracle, because it delivers half of the bricked calves!

The auction was a complete success, with a total of six bulls sold, including the bricklose bull "Minus PP", which went to the insemination station for 3,500 euros. The prices for the other bulls were between 2,275 and 2,550 euros. The female breeding animals were also particularly popular: three calves changed hands for an average of 2,183 euros, while eight second calf cows with an impressive milk yield of 33.9 kilos per day were sold for 2,456 euros. The auction prices were between 2,000 and 3,000 euros, which underlines the high demand.

The highlights of the auction

The buyer Julia Haller was enthusiastic about the Mayer company. "Chocolate" not only scores with its appearance, but also with a breeding value for milkability of 121 and an excellent veal suitability. The second bull, "Minus PP", even brings only polled offspring and has a total breeding value of 138. These properties make it a sought -after breeding partner, especially for compensation gays, since it can compensate for the often short and thin line lines of other lines.

The auction also showed the strength of the regional breeding association, which was able to sell 24 breeding animals. While Bavarian customers acquired three bulls and 17 young cows, the Dutch cattle trade company Kuenen secured a bull and several cows and calves. The next large cattle market will take place on December 12th - another highlight for breeders and buyers!
