In a tragic incident in the Straubing-Bogen district of Lower Bavaria, a 79-year-old man died in a serious traffic accident on Friday, October 25th. The accident occurred, as a 72-year-old woman with her car, for reasons unexplained, after the Straubing-Ost departure, got onto the oncoming lane and raced into a truck.

The terrible consequences were immediately devastating: the fire brigade needed all of their strength to free both the driver and the man who was sitting in the car as a passenger. The emergency doctor quickly hurried to take both to a nearby hospital. But despite all efforts, the 79-year-old succumbed to his serious injuries. The driver herself is currently in mortal danger, while the 42-year-old truck driver only bought minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital for examination.
