Bavaria is investing 73 million euros in new care places!

A huge step for care in Bavaria! In 2024, over 73.4 million euros will flow into the creation of more than 1,450 care places. This was announced by the Bavarian Minister of Health and Nursing Judith Gerlach on Sunday. With the program "Care in the Social Number of Nursing - Nursing Sonah", 26 projects are promoted nationwide in order to create the urgently needed care places and modernize existing facilities.

"We are designing a modern and sustainable nursing care structure," explained Gerlach. The funding not only includes outpatient residential communities, but also day care, permanent care and short-term care facilities. The first -time support for preventive care places that are an important relief for caring relatives is particularly gratifying.

growing demand and comprehensive support

The minister pointed out that the number of people in need of care will continue to increase in the coming years. "That is why it is crucial that we have been promoting the creation and modernization of nursing places with the 'Nursing Sonah' funding program since 2020," Gerlach continued. Around 5,600 nursing places with almost 270 million euros have been funded in the past four years. Now there are another 1,450 seats to cover the increasing need.

The implementation of this important funding program takes place via the Bavarian State Office for Nursing in Amberg. Interested parties will find detailed information on the funding guideline on the website of the State Office for Nursing. The projects are distributed across Bavaria, from Upper Bavaria to Swabia, and include numerous institutions that respond to the needs of people in need of care.
