Dispute over blocked paths in Starnberg: Mayor in criticism!

Starnberg, Deutschland - In Starnberg it is bubbling! The discussion about the blocked sidewalks took an explosive turn. Mayor Patrick Janik accused ten city councils to have caused chaos himself and to interpret his decisions "quite idiosyncratically". The blocking of 52 limited public ways causes excitement and resentment among the citizens. A cross -faction application now urgently demands a solution and criticizes the high costs caused by these measures.

The city administration plans to present a proposal for further procedure at the meeting of the main and finance committee next Monday (November 18, 6 p.m., Schlossberghalle). The city councils, including members of BMS, FDP, Greens, BLS and WPS, have already worked out a comprehensive plan to divide the 52 blocked paths into six categories. These should be organized according to their importance and legal basis for winter service. The city councils emphasize that the safety of pedestrians, in particular school children and people restricted mobility, must have a top priority.

The cost explosion and responsibility

The city councils criticize that the costs for the blocking and procurement of shut -off grids and signs have been over 25,000 euros. There are also 126 working hours of the depot, which costs another 10,000 euros. Janik is accused of not addressing these topics in the city council while he is publicly responsible for the city council. "It is bizarre that the mayor caused the chaos himself and then points to us with our fingers," said the angry city councilors.

The city council's application provides that the paths for which the city has already received private law obligations to take on winter service are immediately released. In addition, other ways that have been cleared by the depot to date should also be included in winter service planning. The citizens of Starnberg are eagerly awaiting the decision of the main and finance committee, which should be made on Monday.
