A 55-year-old man drove his blue Opel Tigra on the state road on Wednesday morning and got off the road for reasons that have so far been unexplained.

The incident occurred at around 9:40 a.m. on the route between Wipfeld and Garstadt, near Dächheim. According to the police, the driver first got onto the banquet and then overturned, with the car finally landing in a moat. This led to an immediate alarm in several fire brigades, including Werneck, Theilheim, Wipfeld, Hergolshausen and Schwanfeld, which quickly hurried to the scene of the accident.

The state road had to be closed to traffic throughout the accident, which led to certain disabilities in public transport. A particularly critical aspect mentioned in the police report was that the driver of the Opel Tigra was not in possession of a valid driver's license. Corresponding legal measures are now being initiated against him.
