In the district of Schweinfurt, the Rothmühle Waste Management Center (AWZ) recently opened its doors to the public and aroused great interest. The AWZ has been playing a central role in waste disposal for the entire district for almost 40 years. The initiative to bring the topics of waste separation and recycling closer to the citizens with such events is strongly funded by the waste management of the Schweinfurt district. The aim of these actions is to create transparency about waste recycling and to raise awareness of environmentally conscious action.
